Creating a second or subsequent Base STC

If the IBM Z APM Connect CICS TS Data Producer produces excessive amount of data that the Base is unable to keep up with, create a second or subsequent Base STCs.

Procedure

  1. Copy the SAGMSAM member AGMAPROC to a PDS in your z/OS® PROCLIB concatenation.
  2. Update the &SSNM JCL variable in the Base STC PROC JCL to assign a new subsystem name to the Base.
    Note: Every Base must have a unique four-character z/OS subsystem name. The default is AGMZ. To change this name, consult your System Programmer.

    If you are monitoring CICS® transactions by using the CICS-MQ adapter, ensure that each Base's AGMACMDS member monitors unique MQ subsystem.
