(Optional) Disabling secure communications between Z APM Connect Distributed Gateway and z/OS components

To use Plaintext on the Linux® server, disable the security on the Z APM Connect Distributed Gateway (Z APM Connect DG) machine and on z/OS® components.

Procedure

  1. Disable the security on the Z APM Connect DG Linux machine.
    1. Switch to the installation directory <install-dir> and run ./zapmctl start. The <install-dir> path is the location where the fix pack tar file is extracted.
    2. Respond with no to choose not to use TLS to secure connections to z/OS.
    1. Respond with yes to confirm that you want to run with TLS disabled.
  2. Disable the security on the z/OS machine.
    You can disable your security in various ways. This procedure depends on which security method you choose to use.
