Using the remote shell service

You can use Optim™ High Performance Unload with the rsh command, but the similar secure shell (ssh) command can be used instead, too.

The rsh command allows you to run a command on a remote system and have its output returned across the network. It can be used by Db2® on UNIX™ systems as a part of the database partitioning support provided by Db2. You can use this same function to extract data using Optim High Performance Unload from Db2 on one system and then make it available on another system.
