Working with remote Db2 environments
Optim™ High Performance Unload can be used to extract data from Db2® environments in order to exploit it in a remote Db2 database.
When using Optim High Performance Unload in order to prepare data for a remote Db2 database, the same usual features can be invoked:
- either one can prepare his data into a file in order to load it later (the Db2 Load command to be used for that can also be generated in parallel of the data extraction),
- or one can automatically migrate it to the remote database considered (the same invocation extracting the data from the source environment and also loading it into the target database).
