Installing Optim High Performance Unload on Windows systems

You can install Optim™ High Performance Unload on Windows™ systems by using the interactive mode or the silent mode.

Procedure

  1. Use the built-in administration ID to log in to the Windows system where Optim High Performance Unload is to be installed.
    Important: The Windows version of Optim High Performance Unload must be installed only by the administrator into a directory with sufficient free space. The installation can not be performed by a user with administration rights who does not belong to an administrator group.
  2. Place the Optim High Performance Unload CD into the CD device.
  3. Copy or move the xxx.zip file into a directory with sufficient free space.
  4. Unzip the file. After the file is unzipped, an additional HPU6500 subdirectory will be created.
  5. Open a command window, and change to the HPU6500 subdirectory that contains the install_hpu.bat file.
  6. Launch the Optim High Performance Unload installation program by using the instal_hpu.bat file.
