USING BACKUP CATALOG

You can use Optim™ High Performance Unload to obtain Db2® catalog information from a backup of the Db2 catalog.

Use the USING BACKUP CATALOG option to obtain Db2 catalog information from a backup of the Db2 catalog. If this option is not used, then Optim High Performance Unload will get all the catalog information from the currently active catalog. If the USING BACKUP CATALOG keyword is used, then the source database name is required, regardless of the command line or db2hpu.cfg file settings.
