Configuring Db2 for z/OS tracing parameters

Configure Db2 for z/OS to start Db2 traces.

Before you begin

Ensure that your system environment meets the following requirements and software prerequisites are installed and configured:
  • Db2 for z/OS V11.1.0 or later

About this task

You need to complete the following tasks to activate tracing of Db2 for z/OS.

Procedure

  1. Set the value of the DSNZPARM parameter ACCUMACC in the target DB2 subsystem to NO. For more information about the ACCUMACC subsystem parameter, see DDF/RRSAF ACCUM field (ACCUMACC subsystem parameter).
  2. Start Db2 Accounting trace Class 1, 2 and 3. You can use the Db2 command START TRACE to start Db2 traces.

  3. Start Db2 Statistics trace Class 3. You can use the Db2 command START TRACE to start Db2 traces.
