Reviewing the SYS1.PARMLIB parameters that affect the Base

To ensure that the address space ID and data space work well for the Z APM Connect Base, review the SYS1.PARMLIB parameters.

Procedure

  1. Review the values of SYS1.PARMLIB IEASYSxx RSVNONR and RSVSTRT.

    When the Z APM Connect Base is started, its address space ID (ASID) is unavailable for reuse. Every time a Z APM Connect Base is restarted, it consumes an extra ASID. The ASID is only available for reuse when the REUSASID=YES parameter is configured.

  2. Review the values of SYS1.PARMLIB IEASYSxx MAXCADS to ensure that sufficient resources are available to support the extra CADS allocations.

    Z APM Connect Base uses a SCOPE=COMMON data space (CADS) for each Base STC running on your system.
