Creating a database

Use the Create Utility to create a database based on the metadata in an archive file.

To create a database:

  1. In the main window, click Utilities > Create.
    The Create Options window opens.
  2. Enter the server name source file and the control file. You must also enter a table map name or choose to create a local table map.
  3. Click OK.
    The Create Utility window opens.
  4. In the objects list, identify the destination and select objects from the source file to be created at the destination.
  5. In the objects list, select the object to create.
  6. From the Tools menu, click Create All Selected Table Objects.
