Managing users, user groups, and roles

If your system is configured to work with a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) user registry, as a platform administrator you can manage the users, user groups, and roles in your solution in the User Management view. Only user groups and roles that are created in the User Management view are IBM® Intelligent Operations Center user groups and roles. If you have existing LDAP user groups that you want to manage as IBM Intelligent Operations Center user groups, create corresponding user groups in the User Management view.

Creating users
As a platform administrator, create users and assign the new users to one or more groups. Membership of a group gives a user access to the features that are assigned to that group.
Modifying users
As a platform administrator, edit the user details and group membership for a user.
Deleting users
As a platform administrator, you can delete users.

As a platform administrator, create user groups and add users to the groups. Membership of a group gives a user access to the features that are assigned to that group.
Deleting user groups
As a platform administrator, you can delete user groups.
Creating roles
As a platform administrator, create roles. You can map multiple user groups to the role so that all the users in these groups have access to the same features as the role.
Deleting roles
As a platform administrator, you can delete roles.
