For a standard operating procedure definition,
you can review the instances of the standard operating procedure that
have been launched. You can view an instance in the Standard Operating Procedure Details window,
where you can edit an instance, or change the status of an instance.
About this task
You can view the previous and current instances of a standard operating procedure definition. An instance
of a standard operating procedure is created
each time that the standard operating procedure is
launched, whether automatically or manually.
Procedure
- In the navigation menu, click .
- Click the name of the standard operating procedure for which you want
to view the instances.
- From the Version list, select a
version.
- Click the Instances tab. The
table indicates the status of each instance, where the status can
be active, started, completed, or stopped. For each instance, the
table also indicates the start time, the end time, and the activity
status. For the activity status, each column is headed by a status
icon. The column indicates the number of activities in the instance
with that status. The icons indicate the following status values:
- Completed status indicates the number of activities
that have been completed.
- Active status indicates that the standard operating procedure has been launched
and the instance is active.
- Waiting status indicates the number of activities
that are waiting to be started.
- Skipped status indicates the number of activities
that have been skipped by the owner.
- Automation exception status indicates that a
problem occurred in IBM SmartCloud® Control Desk 7.5.1 with the
number of automated activities that are indicated.
- In the table, double-click an instance.
- In the Standard Operating Procedure Details window,
choose from the following options:
- To edit basic information for the standard operating procedure instance, from the
list, select Edit. To save your changes to
the basic information, click Save. Alternatively,
to cancel your changes, click Cancel.
- To either view or edit activities, references, and roles, or to view the comments and change log for the standard operating procedure instance, click the tabs. You can also view or edit the items that are associated with the standard operating procedure.
- To stop the instance, if it has been started, select Stop.
- To start the instance, if it has been stopped, select Start.
- To export details of the standard operating procedure instance, from the
list, select Export.
- To add a comment to the instance of the standard operating procedure, from the list,
select Add Comment.
