Filtering by boundary
You can filter the data items that are displayed in the Operations view according to boundary by using the Where pane. On the map, you can draw boundary areas within data sources that are defined as boundary areas. Alternatively, you can define boundaries by using the data source's data items.
About this task
You can create many boundaries by using boundary area type data sources that supply data as polygons, or multipolygons. For example, your administrator can create data sources that acquire data items in polygon format from either a DB2® or SQL database, a CSV file, or a shape file. For more information about using SQL to define boundary areas, see the related link.
In a data source's configuration, your administrator can configure a filter pane to be automatically generated that displays individual boundary items from the data source. The generated filter pane has the same name as the boundary data source. You can select one or more individual boundary items on the generated filter pane and display the items either on the map or in the list.
Your administrator can set a limit on the number of boundary areas that are displayed in the Boundary area list. If the number of boundary areas exceeds this limit, select View all boundary areas from the list to display entries for all the boundary areas.
Procedure
In the Where pane, choose from the following options:
