Use the KPI definition tool to configure the calculation
of a KPI's value based on an SQL query that you define.
Procedure
- In the KPI definition tool, click the KPI and then click
the Calculation tab.
- For Calculation type, select Expression.
- Select an option for Calculation
type:
- To use data that is received from a data source target table,
select the IBM® Intelligent Operations Center data
connection option.
- To use data that is stored in an external database, select
the custom data connection option and configure the connection information.
- Under Expression Details, enter an SQL query that returns
a numerical value.
- To check that the expression that you entered returns a
numerical value, click Validate.
- Save the KPI calculation settings.
