Creating a KPI

Use the KPI definition tool to create a KPI. After you create the KPI, you can customize the calculation method and the KPI ranges.

Procedure

  1. In the KPI definition tool, click Create.
  2. Enter values for the KPI's label, description, and unique text ID.
  3. Select a value for History. If you select Yes, you can view the KPI's history in a chart in the Trends window on the KPI dashboard. The KPI history is updated at a fixed hourly interval.
  4. Select a value for Automatic recalculation. If you select Yes, the KPI is automatically recalculated at the interval that you specify in the Scheduled interval value.
  5. If you selected Yes for Automatic recalculation, enter a value in the Scheduled interval field. This value specifies the interval in minutes at which the KPI is automatically recalculated.
  6. Save the KPI.
