Managing activities

Click Activities in the taskbar to view a dynamic list of activities that are owned or monitored by the currently logged on user. However, an administrator can see the activities for all owners and monitors in the Activities window.

Each time a standard operating procedure is launched, the associated activities are assigned to owners. For more information about standard operating procedures, see the link at the end of the topic.

An icon is displayed on the Activities button that indicates the number of standard operating procedures that are active. To view the activities for which you are an owner or a monitor, click Activities. In the Activities window, the activities are grouped by their parent standard operating procedure instance.

For each instance of a standard operating procedure that has been launched, the Activities window displays all the activities, including those activities that have been completed.

The following activity due icons are displayed near the top of the Activities window:
Past Due
Activities whose completion is past due.
Due Today
Activities that are due to be completed today.
Future
Activities whose completion is due in the future.
When an activity is started, the due date is calculated by adding the start time to the duration of the activity. The activity due dates are used to calculate the number that is displayed in each of the activity due icons.

In the Activities window, standard operating procedures are displayed in alphabetical order. Next to each standard operating procedure in the list that has past due activities, a red icon indicates the number of activities that are past due.
