Customizing the solution

You can customize the solution to suit your particular operation.

In the system properties administration page, you can customize system properties that affect the system-wide configuration of the solution. Use the configuration tools to customize the main components of the solution.

Customizing the solution to suit your particular operation or business includes the following tasks. Customizing is closely related to integrating the solution and the appropriate links are included.

Viewing or editing your user profile
You can view and edit the information in your solution user profile. Edit your user profile to set your time zone, language preference, and alert settings. You can also modify your personal details. If your solution is integrated with a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) user registry, you can also reset your password. You can elect to change settings for the current session only, or to change them permanently.
Customizing profile attributes
If you are an administrator, you can customize the attributes that are displayed on the profile settings panes.

Configure the display of a link to the IBM Privacy Statement on the About page.
Configuring display settings
You can view and edit your display settings in your IBM® Intelligent Operations Center user profile.
Localizing the user interface
To change the locale and time zone that are displayed in the user interface, edit your user profile. If you do not specify a time zone in your user profile, the time zone defaults to GMT.
Data item icons
You can design your own icons and upload image files to represent data items in all the views. The image files that you upload must meet certain requirements.
