Drawing boundary areas on the map
On the map, you can draw boundary areas for data sources that have been defined as boundary areas.
Before you begin
Create a boundary area data source by following the instructions in the Configuring a data source section. Note the following points:
- For the data source acquisition method, select User interface entry for geospatial maps.
- For Boundary area, select Yes.
Configure a pane on the Filter window to display the boundary area data source. For more information, see the Configuring the filter section.
Procedure
- Add a new item to the map.
- Choose a boundary area data source from the Choose Data Item Type list.
- Drag the icon that represents the boundary area data source from the New Item window to the map, and then draw a boundary area.
- Double-click, and then enter values in the appropriate fields for the properties of the boundary area data item.
- To add the boundary area data item to the map, click Save.
