Creating and publishing a model

Create and publish the model. You can customize an existing semantic model or create a new model as described in the remaining topics. You publish the model for use by the solution, or you can publish as a template for use in other solutions applications.

1. Log on as <solutionID> administrator.
2. Click Solution Administration > Configuration Tools > Application Configuration.
3. Select your solution application from the Select a solution application to configure list.
4. Click the Models tab.
5. Select a model from the list of options.
6. On the Basics tab, click Publish to Model Server Now to publish the model.
7. Click Public to publish the model in all solution applications.
8. Click Private to publish the model only in the solution application that you have selected.
9. Click Only publish ontology to publish ontology information. Model instance information is not published. The page outputs the log results of the synchronized process. On completion, the model and database are synchronized and the metadata is preserved.
10. Click Check publish history to view a timeline of when the model was published.
11. Click Save.
