Configuring the IBM HTTP Server system administrator email address

Configure the system administrator email address that is included in system generated messages.

About this task

On the web server in a standard environment or web server 1 and web server 2 in a high availability environment, change the IBM® HTTP Server configuration to reference the system administrator email address to be contacted for server issues.

Procedure

  1. Edit the /opt/IBM/HTTPServer/conf/httpd.conf file.
  2. Change the ServerAdmin value to the email address of the system administrator to be contacted for server issues.
  3. Save the file.
  4. Using the platform control tool restart the IBM HTTP Server.
