Activating and deactivating a carrier service at a node

By default, all carrier services are active at a node. Consider the following use case as an example:
Carrier A cannot offer the Expedited carrier service due to inclement weather in a specific region. In such a case, the carrier can deactivate a carrier service on a node.

If you are a fulfillment manager with view only role, you cannot add a node. If you are a fulfillment manager with edit permissions or an administrator, you can add a node.

Note: To deactivate a carrier service on a node for a specific time, see Deactivating a node for a specified period.

Procedure

  1. From the menu, click Configuration > Nodes to display the Nodes list page.
  2. To deactivate the Next-day express shipping for a node in an affected region, expand the carrier ID that contains the carrier service.
  3. In the Status column, set the toggle to deactivate the carrier service.
To deactivate multiple carrier services, select the check boxes that correspond to each of the IDs. Then, click Deactivate carrier service from the table actions bar.

What to do next

To reactivate a carrier service, set the toggle to Activate carrier service.
