Configuring inventory
You can use the intuitive Order Hub interface to view and manage your inventory across the enterprise.
If you are using IBM® Sterling Order Management System as your Order Management System, the Order Hub UI is available with no additional configuration.
However, if you are using an order management service other than IBM Sterling Order Management System, you can still manage your enterprise inventory picture by using the Order Hub UI with some additional configuration. This flexibility ensures that the capabilities of the Order Hub UI can be used by enterprises that need to add inventory insight to their legacy order management solution.
If you are using an order management service other than IBM Sterling Order Management System, IBM provides REST APIs to create a mapping layer between the Order Hub UI and your order management services. The REST API resource contains information such as the URLs, descriptions, and sample input and output data. After your system integrator implements these APIs, the output that is returned is consumed to populate the Order Hub screens.
The following diagram illustrates how the Inventory Visibility UI receives data by using the REST API implementation, when you are using an Order Management System other than IBM Sterling Order Management System.

Order Hub UI is available only to the users who are newly on boarded to Inventory Visibility. If you are considering the implementation of these features as part of an upgrade, contact IBM Support.
