Installing the Operators by using the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform web console

Install the Operators by using the web console of Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform web console.
  2. Verify that the catalog source pod is running by completing the following steps:
    1. Open the openshift-marketplace project.
    2. From the side navigation menu, click Workloads > Pods. Check whether the catalog source pod is running. The pod name is same as the catalog source name.
  3. Got to the Project drop down list and select the namespace where you want to install IBM® Sterling Intelligent Promising. The namespace can be either created by the user or provided by the system.
  4. From the context selector in the navigation menu, click Operators > OperatorHub. The OperatorHub page opens.
  5. Enter full or partial keywords into the search textbox to look for the Operator. For example, enter IBM Sterling Order Management Gateway or Gateway for the OMS Gateway Operator and IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising or Promising for the Sterling Intelligent Promising Operator.
  6. Select the Operator, choose the Version from the drop down list, and then click Install. The Install operator page opens.
    1. From the Installed Namespace list, select the required namespace.
    2. Select the Update approval strategy as manual or automatic.
  7. Click Install. The Operator is installed.
  8. Click View Operator to view the details of the Operator.
    Once the Operators installation is successful, ensure that the ibm-sip-controller-manager and ibm-oms-gateway-controller-manager pods are running in the namespace that you selected in step 3.
