Viewing carrier transit details
During fulfillment optimization, carrier transit details are used to optimize an order. You can view the carrier transit details for a carrier service, such as weight, cost, and transit duration to ensure that the lowest cost is available to fulfill the order. Also, you become aware of any carrier delays that might impact an order not meeting a customer delivery. As a result, you select the optimal carrier service for the delivery.
About this task
You can view transit details for specific zones or routes for a carrier service. When you define the carrier transit details, including the package weight, origin for a delivery, you maintain the lowest costs to fulfill your orders.
Procedure
- From the menu, click Transit details. and then click
- In the Destination section, in the Destination country field, select the name of the destination country. Then, in the Destination postal code field, add the postal code.
- In the Origin section, click Select nodes to open the Select nodes window. Then, select one or more nodes and click Save. You can also filter by Node ID, Node name, and Node type.
- In the Node type section, from the Node type list, select the type of node. By default, the first node type on the list is selected.
- In the Carrier service section, from the Carrier service list, select the name of the carrier service.
- In the Weight section, in the Minimum
field, add the minimum weight and in the Maximum field, add the maximum
weight. Next, in the Weight UOM field, select the UOM (Unit of Measure) for
the weight. For more information about the default weight UOM settings, see Default tenant settings. By default, a minimum weight of 0 and a maximum weight of 20 are provided.
- Click Apply.
