Operational Monitoring view

Use the Operational Monitoring view to show operational data about your deployed pattern instances to ensure that the flows within these pattern instances are working correctly.

You can use operational monitoring with the "Manufacturing: Factory Publication" pattern. You can use operational monitoring to see the following information:
  • The deployed flows in your pattern instances
  • The integration server to which each flow is deployed
  • The name of the application container for each flow
  • The input message flow nodes that are used by each flow
  • The current rate at which messages are passing through each flow
  • The approximate time at which the last message passed through each flow
Before you can view operational monitoring information for the pattern, you must deploy at least one instance of the pattern.

When you access the Operational Monitoring view for a deployed instance of your pattern, a table is displayed that shows the monitoring information. A row in the table is shown for each message flow in your deployed pattern instance. If the activity of the message flow changes, the changes are shown when the monitoring data refreshes. The data refreshes approximately every 20 seconds. The following table provides a description of each of the monitoring table columns.

Column name Description
Integration Server The integration server to which the message flow is deployed.
Container The name of the application that contains the message flow. If statistics are turned on, you can click the container name to open a more detailed display of the flow statistics for this container.
Message Flow The name of the message flow. If statistics are turned on for the message flow, you can click the message flow name to open a more detailed display of the flow statistics for this flow.
Statistics Use the button in this column to turn message flow statistics on or off.
Input Flow Nodes A list of the node names of all input message flow nodes that are used in the message flow.
Messages per Second The rate of messages that are passing through the message flow in messages per second, for the last 20-second monitoring period. No value is shown in this column in the following situations:
  • When message flow statistics are turned off for this message flow
  • When no message has passed through the message flow since you started the monitoring session
  • When the application or service that contains the message flow is stopped
Last Message The end time of the last 20-second monitoring period during which one or more messages passed through the message flow. No value is shown in this column in the following situations:
  • When message flow statistics are turned off for this message flow
  • When no message has passed through the message flow since you started the monitoring session
  • When the application or service that contains the message flow is stopped
