Storing MQ Services in the Integration Registry
Use an Integration Registry to store your MQ Services that are hosted by a runtime integration node. You and other users can use the MQ Services that are stored in an Integration Registry in a new or existing library.
Before you begin
- Create an MQ Service. See Creating an MQ Service.
- Connect to the integration node. See Managing integration nodes.
- Start the integration node. See Starting and stopping an integration node.
- Open the Integration Registries view, if not already open, by clicking .
About this task
Each integration node hosts one Integration Registry. The Integration Registry stores MQ Services, which describe the interface between message flows and other WebSphere MQ applications. The Integration Registry also stores policies. For more information, see Operational policy.

Publishing your MQ Services to the Integration Registry
About this task
To publish your locally stored MQ Services to the Integration Registry, complete the following steps:
Procedure
- In the Application Development view, right-click
your MQ Service, and click Publish
to Registry. The Publish to Registry window opens.
- In the Publish to Registry window, select the node that contains the Integration Registry that you want to publish. Click Finish.
- In the Integration Registries view, click the Refresh icon () to update the list of MQ Services. The refreshed list includes the MQ Services that you added.
Results
Importing Integration Registry contents into a Library
About this task
You can import an MQ Service that is stored in the Integration Registry into a new or existing project. You can then use the MQ Service in a message flow. However, you cannot import the policies that are stored in the Integration Registry into a new or existing library.
To import an MQ Service into a new or existing library, complete the following steps:
Procedure
- In the Integration Registries view,
right-click the MQ Service that you
want to import, and select Import To Workspace.
The Select Library wizard opens.
- Select the library that you want to contain your MQ Service, or click New to create a library, and click Finish.
