Business monitoring
A process ID column is added to differentiate between different processes with the same name.
Retriggering open alerts after maintenance window expiry
You can now configure your maintenance windows to trigger alerts for events that were opened during an active maintenance window but are still unresolved after the window expires. For more information, see Scheduling maintenance windows.
Volume groups and physical volumes monitoring in AIX
You can now monitor the volume groups and physical volumes for AIX. For more information, see Monitoring host.
Support for CockroachDB 24.3.3

Support for monitoring CrewAI
Instana now supports monitoring of CrewAI. To monitor CrewAI, export traces and metrics from your CrewAI application to Instana. For more information, see Monitoring AI Agents.

Support for SpringBoot 3.3 and 3.4

Improvements
The following improvements are provided in build 290:
Synthetic monitoring
Synthetic monitoring provides the following improvements:
- You can now download the test scripts that you uploaded for an API Script or a Browser Script test. The Download .zip file option is available when you create or edit the test in advanced mode.
- You can now play back a failed browser test directly from the Instana UI test results details page by clicking the View recording button. The option to download the video remains available from the player.
- The synctl
tool now supports the Get Synthetic Metrics API.
Kubernetes monitoring polling frequency
Now the polling frequency for Kubernetes monitoring is automatically set by the agent operator to 10 seconds.
Fixes
The following issues are fixed in build 290:
Misleading per-page count of items
In some tables, the default value of items per page was misleading. For example, in the Applications > Error Messages table, the number of items per page was set to 20 by default, but only 10 items were shown. This issue is now fixed.
Synthetic monitoring
The following security vulnerabilities are fixed in Synthetic PoP:

- CVE-2024-47535
RBAC application access scope includes application APIs
Previously, personal API tokens ignored RBAC application access limits. Now, personal API tokens with limited application access can access only the listed applications.
