Instana monitors IBM MQ by using the Instana IBM MQ sensor. The sensor provides insights into the health and performance of IBM MQ. For more information, see Monitoring IBM MQ.

IBM MQ sensor 1.1.29 is released on 7 April 2025.

Features

The sensor adds two new fields, TRIGGER_TYPE and TRIGGER_CONTROL, to snapshots for event and alert generation.

IBM MQ sensor 1.1.28 is released on 7 April 2025.

Features

The sensor now supports the following metrics for the IBM MQ queue manager:

Cluster status (clusterStatusMetrics)
Cluster Suspend Indicator (clusterSuspendIndicatorStatus)

Also, the sensor updates the existing Listener Status Metric by including a new enumeration value, QUIESCING. For more information, see Viewing IBM MQ metrics.

Improvements

The IBM MQ sensor now adds GET_INHIBITED and PUT_INHIBITED events to the IBM MQ queue manager events.
