Logs source in custom dashboards

When you integrate logs as a source of metrics for widgets, the performance of your system's monitoring and visualization is enhanced in custom dashboards. Logs source supports the Big Number, Chart: Time Series, and Chart: Pie widgets, which allow a diverse range of data representation.

To update the existing widget, complete the following steps:

1. On your custom dashboard, hover over the widget.
2. Click ..., and then click Edit.
3. Update the necessary details.
4. Click Confirm.

To add a widget, complete the following steps:

1. On your custom dashboard, click Add Widget.
2. Select one of the following supported widgets:
   • Big Number
   • Chart: Time Series
   • Chart: Pie
3. On the widget configuration, in Data Source, select Logs.
4. In Aggregation, select sum or per second.
5. In Filter, select logs relevant to your analysis.
6. Optional: To compare with previous data periods, set Add a time shifted comparison badge to on.
7. Optional: In the Widget Name field, enter a name of the widget.
8. Click Create, and then click Save changes.

You can adjust the Axis Configuration settings such as the chart type, value formatting, and defining minimum and maximum values.
