Multi-closing issues and incidents

Efficiently managing multiple issues and incidents is essential for streamlining workflows and reducing operational overhead. The multi-close feature improves efficiency by allowing users to close multiple issues or incidents simultaneously. The multi-close feature is an enhancement that saves time, reduces repetitive tasks, and provides a more consistent and efficient resolution process.

Multi-closing issues

To multi-close issues, complete the following steps:

  1. From the navigation menu in the Instana UI, click Events > Issues.
  2. In the events list, select multiple issues by checking the checkboxes on the left side.
  3. Alternatively, use the Select all option on the event list to select all issues.
  4. Click Close issue(s) to close the selected issues, or click Cancel to exit the batch closing process.
  5. In the "Close issue(s)" dialog, complete the following steps:
    1. In the Comments field, provide a reason for closing multiple issues.
    2. Click Close issue(s).

Multi-closing incidents

To multi-close incidents, complete the following steps:

  1. From the navigation menu in the Instana UI, click Events > Incidents.
  2. In the events list, select multiple incidents by checking the checkboxes on the left side.
  3. Alternatively, use the Select all option on the event list to select all incidents.
  4. Click Close incident(s) to close the selected incidents, or click Cancel to exit the batch closing process.
  5. In the "Close incident(s)" dialog, complete the following steps:
    1. In the Comments field, provide a reason for closing multiple incidents.
    2. Click Close incident(s).
