Multi-closing issues and incidents
Efficiently managing multiple issues and incidents is essential for streamlining workflows and reducing operational overhead. The multi-close feature improves efficiency by allowing users to close multiple issues or incidents simultaneously. The multi-close feature is an enhancement that saves time, reduces repetitive tasks, and provides a more consistent and efficient resolution process.
Multi-closing issues
To multi-close issues, complete the following steps:
- From the navigation menu in the Instana UI, click Events > Issues.
- In the events list, select multiple issues by checking the checkboxes on the left side.
- Alternatively, use the Select all option on the event list to select all issues.
- Click Close issue(s) to close the selected issues, or click Cancel to exit the batch closing process.
- In the "Close issue(s)" dialog, complete the following steps:
- In the Comments field, provide a reason for closing multiple issues.
- Click Close issue(s).

Multi-closing incidents
To multi-close incidents, complete the following steps:
- From the navigation menu in the Instana UI, click Events > Incidents.
- In the events list, select multiple incidents by checking the checkboxes on the left side.
- Alternatively, use the Select all option on the event list to select all incidents.
- Click Close incident(s) to close the selected incidents, or click Cancel to exit the batch closing process.
- In the "Close incident(s)" dialog, complete the following steps:
- In the Comments field, provide a reason for closing multiple incidents.
- Click Close incident(s).
