Installing Self-Hosted Custom Edition (Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform)
You can create a new self-hosted Instana backend in a Red Hat OpenShift container platform or Kubernetes cluster by installing the Instana Enterprise operator and then configuring the Instana backend. Also, you can upgrade your operator-based Instana backend to a newer release based on your needs.
Compatibility matrix
Custom Edition includes the operator and Instana backend.
The following table lists the Custom Edition version and the Instana backend versions that are compatible.
Custom Edition version | Instana backend version |
---|---|
1.1.1, 1.1.0 | 3.283, 3.281 |
1.0.0 | 3.279 |
For more information about the backend releases, see Release notes - Instana backend.
