Release notes for tracers

Tracer updates are released separately from the SaaS and self-hosted Instana updates, and have their own release versions. Depending on the host agent (dynamic or static) that you use, you can obtain specific tracer release features or performance updates.

If you installed the static agent, you need to install the associated version of the host agent that is identified in the specific tracer release version. For more information about dynamic and static agents, see Host agent.
