Creating a Table widget (public preview)
You can create a Table widget in a custom dashboard to monitor events, and infrastructure and platforms.

Creating a Table widget for events (public preview)
You can create a Table widget to monitor all the current events. The events include incidents, issues, and changes. You can also add a Dynamic Focus query for the events.
To create Table widget for events:
- In the Instana UI, click INSTANA.
- Click the INSTANA drop-down list.
- Select a custom dashboard from the list, or click Create Dashboard to create a new dashboard.
- Click Add Widget. The Add Widget dialog is displayed.
- Click Table BETA in the dialog. A preview of the table is displayed.
- Click Next.
- From the Data Source list, select Events.
- Optional: From the Query list, select a query.
- In Select Columns, select the columns for the table.
- Optional: In the Name field, enter a name for the table widget.
- Click Create. The table widget is created.
After the Table widget is created, you can view the table on your dashboard.
Creating a Table widget for Infrastructure and Platforms (public preview)
You can create a Table widget to monitor the entities available in Infrastructure and Platforms.
To create Table widget for the entities available in Infrastructure and Platforms:
- In the Instana UI, click INSTANA.
- Click the INSTANA drop-down list.
- Select a custom dashboard from the list, or click Create Dashboard to create a new dashboard.
- Click Add Widget. The Add Widget dialog is displayed.
- Click Table BETA in the dialog. A preview of the table is displayed.
- Click Next.
- From the Data Source list, select Infrastructure & Platforms.
- From the Entity Type list, select an entity type.
- Optional: Click Add dataset to add a metric to the table:
- Select a metric from the Metric list.
- Select an aggregation type from the Aggregation list.
- Select a format for the metric from the Formatter list.
- Optional: To add a filter for the table, click Add filter.
- Optional: To choose how you want to group your data, click Add group. You can add up to 5 groups.
- Optional: Select whether you want to Show groups with missing tags. Groups missing some or all of the specified grouping tags are shown with a "Tag not present" entry in the place of any tags that are missing.
- In the Table Size list, select the number of entries to display in the table.
- In the Sort By list, select an item to sort the entries in the table. If groups are defined, they are listed in the sorting options.
- In the Sort Direction list, select an item to define the sort direction of entries in the table.
- Optional: In the Name field, enter a name for the Table widget.
- Click Create.
- Click Save changes. The Table widget is created.
After the Table widget is created, you can view the table on your dashboard. To view all the rows, click View full table in Analyze infrastructure.
