Adding threshold to widgets in custom dashboard

Adding a threshold to Big Number widget

To add a threshold to the Big Number widget:

1. In the Instana UI, click INSTANA.
2. Click the INSTANA drop-down list.
3. Select a custom dashboard from the list, or click Create Dashboard to create a new dashboard.
4. Click Add Widget. The Add Widget dialog is displayed.
5. Click Big Number in the dialog. A preview of the big number is displayed.
6. Click Next.
7. Select one option from the Data Source list.
8. Select a metric from the Metric list.
9. Optional: To add a threshold, set the Add threshold based colorization toggle to on.
   1. Select an operator from the Threshold list.
   2. In the Critical field, enter a value for the critical threshold.
   3. In the Warning field, enter a value for the warning threshold.

The base unit that is used for the threshold is displayed when the formatter is selected, next to the critical and warning fields. The value converted, when applicable, is displayed next to the field to support with different units.
