Alerting
With Instana, managing events and alerts is easy. Both built-in events and custom events help you to spot problems in your monitored system as soon as they start to appear. But to be able to quickly and efficiently react in such situations, alerts need to be defined to receive alert notifications to any of your alert integrations in real time.

FAQ
Why do I receive multiple notifications for the same issue or incident to my alert integration?
Instana usually notifies only a single time to configured alert integrations. But in case of failures, such as status codes 429 or 5XX and reaching the 10 seconds timeout, we retry sending up to 3 times in total.
