WebSphere Application Server sensor releases

Instana monitors the WebSphere Application Server applications by using the Instana WebSphere Application Server sensor. The sensor provides insights into the health and performance of applications and services that use WebSphere Application Server. For more information, see Monitoring WebSphere Application Server.

WebSphere Application Server sensor 1.1.48 is released on 29 April 2025.

Improvements

This release improves the XML parsing in the sensor by preventing the loading of external entities, which caused the sensor to be blocked and disabled by the agent.

1.1.47

WebSphere Application Server sensor 1.1.47 is released on 26 February 2025.

Fixes

Previously, non-WebSphere JVMs were added to the inventory during the discovery process. This issue is now fixed.

WebSphere Application Server sensor 1.1.46 is released on 10th February 2025.

Improvements

WebSphere Application Server admin client creation is made generic to be used across invocations of MBean operations when security is enabled.
