CRI-O sensor releases

Instana monitors CRI-O by using the Instana CRI-O sensor. The sensor provides insights into the health and performance of applications and services that run on CRI-O. For more information, see Monitoring CRI-O.

CRI-O sensor 1.0.14 is released on 13 February 2025.

Improvements

  • This release adds support for a native CRI-API client that can be enabled with the environment variable INSTANA_USE_CRI_CLIENT (default: false). When set to true, the metrics are collected by the cgroup and the CRI-O socket that is typically located at /var/run/crio/crio.sock.

Improvements

  • This release adds the CRI-O version number to the snapshot data section on the CRI-O dashboard.
  • This release supports the following CRI-O versions: 1.28, 1.29, 1.30, and 1.31.
