You can now sort job queues by total number of jobs and number of active jobs.

Features

The IBM i sensor 1.0.56 adds a new generic message queue event. This event is configured on a single message queue. Each event can be configured with the following 5 optional filters, which can be used in any combination:

• Message Type
• Severity
• Message IDs to include
• Message IDs to exclude
• Text within the message

Improvements

The IBM i sensor now uses a shared JDBC connection to collect metrics for native or local monitoring.

Features

• The IBM i sensor version 1.0.51 release adds a new type of message queue event: MESSAGE_QUEUE_INQUIRY_EVENT. This event is thrown for any INQUIRY messages that do not have an associated REPLY message in the configured message queues.

Features

• The IBM i sensor version 1.0.50 release adds the following disk metrics: Reads/sec, Writes/sec, Bytes read/sec, and Bytes written/sec. This applies to HDD, SSD, and system disk overview tables.
• The poll rate configuration options for the preceding tables (HARDWARE_DISK_DRIVES, SOLID_STATE_DISK, SYSTEM_DISK_STATUS) are consolidated into a single option: DISK_STATUS.

Fixes

• Previously, in some cases, the Disk Information page for SSD displayed no content. This issue is fixed.
• Previously, in IBM i 7.2, the Disk Information page for HDD displayed no content because the fetching of information from the system failed. This issue is now fixed.

Features

• The host agent for IBM i is now generally available (GA).
• Instana now supports the detection of events based on Disk Status. For more information, see Overall disk status.
