Downloading custom dashboards as PDF files

You can download a custom dashboard as a PDF file from the Instana UI.

To download a custom dashboard as a PDF file, complete the following steps:

  1. From the navigation menu in the Instana UI, click Custom Dashboards.

  2. Select your custom dashboard from the table.

  3. On the custom dashboard, select Download PDF from the Options menu.

  4. In the "Download PDF file" dialog, configure the following settings to customize the PDF file:

    • Orientation: Select Landscape or Portrait. Landscape is the default option.
    • Layout: Select Single page or Multiple pages. The Single page option fits the entire dashboard on one page, with content resized. The Multiple pages option splits the dashboard across multiple pages, keeping the original layout, but some widgets might be cut off. Single Page is the default layout.
    • Display: If you want to display widgets in a vertical stack across multiple pages, click the Stack widgets checkbox.

  5. Click Generate preview to see your PDF file before it is created.

  6. Click Download PDF file to download the file.
