Updating Installation Manager by using wizard mode
You can update Installation Manager without uninstalling packages that you installed by using Installation Manager.
Before you begin
- To use the service repositories, you must have an internet connection on the computer where the update is completed. If you use the service repositories, Installation Manager is updated to the latest version. To update to a version that is not the latest, you must download the files for that version.
- Download the fix pack,
com.ibm.cic.agent.offering_version.zip, for the version of Installation Manager that you require. Go to the Installation Manager download links technical document and click the applicable download document link. The download document contains details about downloading the installation files. The fix pack package is larger than the installation kit. If you are updating Installation Manager on one platform, consider using the installation kit,agent.installer.platform_version.zip, to update Installation Manager.Note: You cannot add the installation kit to the list of repositories in Installation Manager. See Using theimclcommand to update.
If you are updating Installation Manager on a computer that does not have internet access or you want to update to a specific version that is not the latest version, see Updating Installation Manager by using downloaded files.
