Running as administrator on Windows

You can use the Run as administrator option with the imcl command on Windows Vista, Windows 2008, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 2012.

If you do not have administrator permissions, you must use the Run as Administrator option to install or use Installation Manager in administrator mode. An administrator installation of Installation Manager is in the C:\Program Files C:\Program Files [(x86)]\IBM\Installation Manager\eclipse directory by default. The following steps describe how to open the command prompt with the Run as Administrator option:
  1. Right-click the command prompt icon.
  2. Select Run as administrator.
  3. Enter an administrator password when prompted for either an administrator password or a confirmation.
  4. Click Continue.
