Creating table spaces for DEDB databases

Table spaces are used to define Areas of a DEDB. This is done with the CREATE TABLESPACE statement.

When defining table spaces for a DEDB, consider the following:
  • At least one table space with a maximum of 2048 for the database.
  • The ddname or area name, which is the table space name provided on the CREATE TABLESPACE statement, describes an area.
