Archiving the OLDS

You should archive the OLDS to an SLDS at regular intervals. If you are not using automatic archiving, the MTO or automation program should issue the DBRC GENJCL command (or DSPAPI FUNC=COMMAND COMMAND=GENJCL API request) at regular intervals to generate the JCL for the Log Archive utility, and should execute the utility.
