You can reset local time whenever necessary, for example
when changing from standard time to daylight savings (or summer) time.
Procedure
- To set or change the local time, edit the CLOCKxx member
(the TIMEZONE keyword) of the SYS1.PARMLIB data
set to set the current offset for local time.
- If you have an ETR device, use it to set and change the
time zone offset. If you do not have an ETR device, complete one of
the following steps to set or change the local time:
Option |
Description |
Use the SET CLOCK command to set the
time zone offset. |
Using the SET CLOCK command does not
allow you to set a precise value for your system's time zone
offset. Consequently, using this method might cause IMS to report a local time that is inconsistent
with the local time reported by the operating system.
|
Re-IPL your system with the updated CLOCKxx member. |
Your time zone offset is set to the precise value specified
in the member. |
