Perform the following steps to implement non-structural changes to the catalog while IMS is online or active and the managed ACB is enabled.

Procedure

  1. Run the DFS3UACB utility to perform an ACBGEN and to populate the new DFSCD000 instance in the IMS Catalog and in the IMS directory staging data set.
  2. Issue the following IMPORT command to activate the changed catalog DBD DFSCD000:IMPORT DEFN SOURCE(CATALOG) NAME(DFSCD000) OPTION(NOCHECK)

The maintenance that provides the catalog resource changes might include post activation procedures. This might include running the IMS Catalog Maintenance utility (DFS3CM00) to update data in the catalog database. You might have to refer to the maintenance hold cards for the post activation steps.
