Automatic management of Fast Path DEDB SDEP buffers
IMS can be configured to automatically clean up Fast Path DEDB sequential dependent segments (SDEPs) in online buffers by writing them to the physical database at intervals that you specify.
If there is an imbalance in workload among multiple IMSes, you might be unable to physically delete SDEPs from a DEDB Area. To avoid this problem, this enhancement enables automatic periodic clean up of the SDEPs.
To enable this function, you need to specify parameters in the FASTPATH section of the DFSDFxxx member of the IMS PROCLIB data set. You can specify either a time of day or a frequency for the SDEP buffers to be cleaned up.
