Private buffer pools

HSSP jobs use a combination of utility private buffers and common buffers (NBA/OBA), with the utility private buffers being primarily used.

HSSP dynamically allocates up to three times the number of CIs per area in one UOW, with each buffer being a CI in size.

HSSP uses the private buffers for reading RAP CIs and the common buffers for reading IOVF CIs. An FW status code may be received during the run of an HSSP job when NBA has been exceeded just as in a non-HSSP job.

The private buffer pools are located in 31-bit extended common storage (ECSA) or 64-bit common storage. The common buffers are in located in ECSA or, if the Fast Path 64-bit buffer manager is enabled, in 64-bit storage.
