Activating and controlling the DB Monitor
To activate the DB Monitor, specify MON=Y in the PROC statement of the batch job. When you submit the job, IMS uses parameter substitution to update the PARM field of the EXEC statement with a Y in the appropriate position.
To stop the DB Monitor, the system console operator can use the MODIFYjobname,STOP command. Message DFS2215A displays on the system console when the Monitor is inactive.
To reactivate the DB Monitor, the console operator can use the MODIFYjobname,START command.
Message DFS2216A displays on the console when the Monitor is active again.
