Example flow for modifying HISAM databases with the reorganization utilities

The following flow chart illustrates the process for using the reorganization utilities to modify a database to use multiple data set groups.

The process flow for changing a HISAM database to use multiple data set groups is depicted: Optionally, change the BLKSIZE or LRECL, optionally change DBD, run DBDGEN, run DFSURUL0 utility, delete and reallocate data sets, optionally change BLKSIZE or LRECL, if CHNG= card used DBDGEN then run DFSURRL0 utility, if no CHNG= card run DFSURRL0 utility, end of flow.
