Explanation
MFS received a field from the 3270 device that was not defined in the device input descriptor. Either the screen size for the device was incorrectly defined during IMS system definition, or a probable hardware malfunction has occurred.

Check to see that the specification of lines and columns in the SIZE keyword of the TYPE or TERMINAL macro used for IMS system definition for this device is correct. If it is correctly specified, use the /TRACE command to obtain a printout of the terminal input data received by IMS. Obtain a printout of the DIF and compare the buffer addresses to determine if a hardware error occurred.
