Enabling point-in-time change accumulation
You enable point-in-time change accumulation (PITCA) by using the LOG TIME command.
Procedure
To enable PITCA, set the LOG TIME command and specify the
appropriate parameter.
- Set LOG TIME=YES to use the final time stamp of the final input log for the point in time.
- Set LOG TIME=time stamp to use the time stamp that you specify.
The time stamp value must be a time value later than the first archived input log and not later than the stop time of the last input log.
All sharing IMS systems must have at least one archived log.
Requirement: For a
point-in-time change accumulation time stamp, you must select a time
stamp that is within the range of the input logs. A time stamp that
is earlier than the first input log causes all input records to be
truncated. A time stamp that is later than the STOP time of the final
log is the same as LOG TIME=YES.
